Abstract

Thermoplastic compositions are made by grafting on to 100 parts of polybutadiene or a butadiene/styrene copolymer containing 60-90% of butadiene, 80 to 120 parts of a monomer mixture containing 35-49% of methyl methacrylate, 60-36% of styrene and 0-15% of acrylonitrile, and mixing the product with a homopolymer or copolymer of vinyl chloride. The grafting reaction is preferably carried out in a latex of the butadiene polymer in the presence of a peroxy catalyst.
