Abstract
1,062,384. Reconstituted tobacco. ARENCO A.B. Feb. 18, 1966 [May 21, 1965], No. 7296/66. Heading A2C. Tobacco paste from a container 1 is cast by rollers 2, 3 and a wiper 6 on to an endless metallic belt 4 on which a thin layer of lecithin, or a solution thereof, has been coated. The belt is preferably of stainless steel and may be coated with the lecithin by spraying from a nozzle 7 or by a rotary brush. The cast tobacco sheet 8 is preferably dried at a temperature of 40-90‹C. The lecithin is preferably dissolved in a solvent such as trichlorethylene or liquid paraffin.
