Abstract

1,061,842. Valves. F. W. TALBOT & CO. Ltd. Jan. 7, 1966 [Feb. 4, 1965], No. 4885/65. Heading F2V. A fluid-actuated valve has a rectangular inlet and outlet 4, 5 connected by a hollow rectangular seat and flow through which is controlled by an annular-compound diaphragm, the inner and smaller-diameter part 7 coacting with the seat and the outer and larger diameter part 8 being subjected to outlet pressure via a passage 14. The diaphragm parts 7, 8 are separated by a cage 11 housing two or more segmental shoes. The cage may comprise one or several pieces and the valve may embody a number of ports. The valve components may be of metal, plastics material or a combination of both.
