Abstract
Tetrafluoroethylene is prepared by dehydrochlorinating chlorodifluoromethane by heating to 400 DEG to 1100 DEG C. in the absence of carbon in a chamber filled or partially filled with copper, cuprous chloride or a mixture thereof as catalyst.
