Abstract

1,061,249. Strut type suspensions. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Jan. 26, 1966 [Feb. 13, 1965], No. 3461/66. Heading B7D. In a strut type suspension the hub carrier 4 has an inward and upward extension 7 which is clamped to the lower end of the strut 2 by clamps 11, 12, and a lower extension 9 carrying a ball joint 10 about which transverse link 19 is pivotal. Extension 7 is positively located by a spigot 14 of the strut and the steering arm is integral with clamp 11.
