Abstract

A sanitary wiper for the skin comprises absorbent tissue paper impregnated with pharmaceutical-grade mineral oil and an emulsifier, e.g. triethanolamine oleate, triisopropanolamine laurate, mono-ethylamine stearate or diethanolamine palmitate. It may also contain a bacteriostatic agent, e.g. a quaternary ammonium salt C6H5-CH2-N (CH3)2 RCl where R is a mixture of alkyls from C8H17 to C18 H37, bis-(2-hydroxy-3, 5-dichlorophenyl) sulphide, 3, 4, 41-trichlorocarbonilide or hexachlorophene. The base sheet is preferably of a soft facial grade, and may be creped. It may be of single or double ply.
