Abstract

[Also in Division D1] A textile raising machine has a drum formed of rollers, each having an end supported by at least two bearings, at least one of which is resiliently mounted. In an embodiment, each roller (10), Fig. 2 (not shown), is mounted in a housing (18) by ball bearings (13), (14), (15) and (16), rubber &c. rings (17) being interposed between the bearings (13), (15) and the housing. The rubber &c. rings (17) may be secured to steel bushes (19) which slide axially in the housing. In a modification, all the bearings 13. 14. 15 and 16 are resiliently mounted.
