Abstract
1,056,034. Lined cartons. PEMBROKE CARTON & PRINTING CO. Ltd. Sept. 24, 1965 [Oct. 2, 1964], No. 40107/64. Heading B8P. A lined carton, formed from a, blank (Fig. 1, not shown) and liner 15, has a pair of opposed end closure flaps each comprising two triangular parts 21, 22, connected along a fold line 28 to a further flap 29, the closure being effected by folding in parts 22 to pleat the liner, and then flap 29 to fold the pleated end of the liner, the parts 21 being folded to lie between parts 22 and the flap 29, with their free edges lying along the free edge 37 of the flap 29. A further flap 36 is then folded down to nip a strip 45 of the liner between the flap 29 and itself to complete the closure. The liner is of tubular form, having a seam 16, and is glued to the blank along glue lines 46-48, and 52, 50 respectively (Fig. 1, not shown).
