Abstract
1,053,652. Bags. E. KUGLER. May 17, 1963 [May 18, 1962], No. 19744/63. Heading A4G. [Also in Division B8] One end of a drawstring bag is closed by a gusset 13 (Fig. 4) secured at 25, 26 to the walls 11, 12 of the bag to form tubular ends 27, 28 for receiving draw strings 29a, 29b. Perforations 35 may facilitate cutting the gusset to open the bag. Side seams 18, 19 (Fig. 1, not shown) may be interrupted short of the upper edge of the bag to leave the tubular ends 27, 28 open, or these seams may continue to the upper edge of the bag, and the draw strings may leave the bag through holes cut in the outer surfaces of the hems 27, 28. The bag may be of polyethylene, and the lower end, which may be formed with a flap as shown in Fig. 4, may be heat sealed after filling.
