Abstract

1,053,032. Terminals. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 16, 1965 [March 19, 1964], No. 11106/65. Heading H2E. A metal tag 1 has a substantially flat elongate portion which is divided longitudinally to form two limbs 7 and 9 which slide over one another in the lateral direction as the tag is inserted in an aperture 17 in a printed circuit board 19. When the tag is fully inserted in the aperture the limbs spring back to their original position so that barbs 11 engage the printed circuitry 21, to which they are then soldered. The limbs 7 and 9 may overlap one another before the tag is inserted into the aperture (Figs. 1. 2 and 3, not shown).
