Abstract

1, 049, 604. Respiratory appliances. NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUTE REZINOVOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI. Feb. 26, 1964, No. 7935/64. Heading A5T. A rubber face mask 1 having an inspiration valve 2 and an expiration valve 3 is provided with two layers of dust-filtering material, the outer layer 5 having pores of larger size than the inner layer 6. Polyurethane is used for the outer layer 5 and a cloth of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride for the inner layer 6, the two layers being held in a fold formation 4 around the perimeter of the mask. The inner layer 6 has a corrugated surface and is replaceable. The inner layer has the form of a sleeve closed with a string 7 and is supported from the mask by a perforated member 8.
