Abstract

1,049,489. Refuse receptacles. DAVIDSONS PAPER SALES Ltd. April 21, 1965 [April 21, 1964], No. 16526/64. Heading A4A. [Also in Division B8] An adjustable platform 15 in the base of a guarded refuse sack container allows the container to be used with different sizes of sacks. The platform 15, preferably a heavy unit e.g. a concrete slab, may be positioned at the bottom of the frame as in Fig. 1 where it rests on a metal bracket 16 and two metal strips 17 secured to the bottom frame 2. In its alternative position the platform is located on three raised supports formed by two brackets 18 and a bracket 19 which is clipped on to the front of the bottom frame 2 and can be removed when not in use. In a modification the platform 15 may have a concave upper surface with a central opening for drainage and a crosspiece forming a handle. The container is further described in Specification 1,049,490.
