Abstract

<PICT:1049364/C6-C7/1> <PICT:1049364/C6-C7/2> An electrophoresis device for separating components of a series of samples to be tested whilst passing through an automatic analysis system, in which said samples are supported by a flexible tape, comprises a pair of electrodes, 71, 72 (Fig 10) adjacent to the edges of the tape which (see Fig 8) comprises a plurality of open ended sample receiving chambers 64 formed across the width of the tape by means of spacers 63 between upper and lower sections 61, 62. As described, peptides and nucleotides present in blood serum are thus separated and subsequently tested in U-V absorptiometer 56c.
