Abstract
1,048,476. Dispensing articles. K. GÍTZE, [trading as NORD-WEST-PAPIERWERKE KARL GÍTZE]. Sept. 9, 1963 [May 11, 1963], No. 35488/63. Heading A4T. [Also in Division G4] Apparatus for dispensing carrier bags comprises a rotatable ejector 14 having an inclined portion 18 which engages behind the first of a series of carrier bags 13 fed by a slide 11 and takes the bag from the slide so that it can be removed from the apparatus. As shown, the handle loops 12 of the bags 13 are suspended from the slide rail 11 and are normally retained thereon by an ejector disc 14. The ejector disc has a radial slot and a portion 18 bent out of the plane of the disc in such a manner that on rotation, it engages behind the handle or handles of the first bag and displaces it off the slide rail 11 into a tray 19. Dispensing may be initiated by a switch or insertion of a coin into a mechanism 22 which, through a relay 21 and limit switch 23, cause a motor 19 to rotate the ejector disc 14 through one revolution. A hinge 26 allows the ejector system to pivot outwardly to permit access to the slide rail.
