104,845. Yarrow, H. E. Nov. 24, 1916. Sliding valves; temperature in, regulating-A slide valve for closing the funnel of a submarine is watercooled in both its open and closed positions. The valve member B is reciprocated by a screwed spindle D in a closed casing C. The cooling-water enters at H and passes out either at K or H<1>. Guides G<1>, G<2>, G<3> are provided for the valve member.
