Abstract

1,047,781. Inverting. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 21, 1963 [Sept. 4, 1962], No. 33925/62. Heading H2F. An inverter has two series chains of a controlled rectifier and an uncontrolled rectifier (SCR1, D1 and SCR2, D2) connected as shown through a centre-tapped load winding LP and inductor L to the D.C. source. Commutating capacitors C1, C2 and reverse current diodes D3, D4 are provided. The control unit 15 controls the inverter in pulse width modulated manner. The controlled rectifiers are thyristors.
