Abstract

1,046,424. Cartons for liquids. INTERNATIONAL PAPER CO. April 19, 1963 [June 12, 1962], No. 15607/63. Heading B8P. A thermoplastic-coated paperboard gable top carton has a slit 30 in one gable end panel 13 enabling portions 13a, 13b to be so positioned to form a pouring spout without delamination of the edge of the spout. Adhesive portions B are positioned appropriately on roof surface panels 14 to permit the portions 13a, 13b to be pulled away from the top sealed parts without delamination. The slit 30 may be in the form of two shorter slits or in the form of a shallow V.
