Abstract

1, 045, 438. Laundry squeeze drying machines. A. MEYER. April 20, 1964 [April 26, 1963], No. 16362/64. Heading D1A. Wet laundry 4 is pressed out by a piston 2 hydraulically moved in a vertical cylinder 1 whose open top is closed during pressing by an hydraulically operated cover 7 which is afterwards removed while the piston rises to lift the laundry clear of the cylinder and then either the cover 7 or a pusher moves back to displace the laundry away from the cylinder. The water expressed from the laundry runs away through an annular passage 6. Alternatively, cover 7 can be an hydraulically operated hinged cover.
