Abstract

L - methionyl - L - aspartyl - L - phenyl-alanine amide is prepared by reacting an activated N-protected L-methionine derivative with either L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine amide or with an L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine alkyl or aralkyl ester, ammonolysing the product of the second process to give the product of the first and removing the protecting group.
