Abstract
1,042,123. Refrigerators. LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. Jan. 31, 1964 [Feb. 4, 1963], No. 4223/64. Heading F4H. A refrigerator door comprises a plastics panel having a peripheral wall, at least one web and a plurality of ribs projecting from one surface thereof, the web(s) being arranged parallel to the wall and the ribs extending between adjacent webs and/or between the wall and the web adjacent thereto. As shown, two webs 4 are arranged parallel with the peripheral wall 2 ribs 5a extend between the webs 4 and ribs 5b extend between the wall 2 and the adjacent web 4. The ribs 5a may be angled with respect to the webs (Fig. 4, not shown). In the embodiment of Figs. 5 (not shown), two discontinuous webs are provided and are arranged to form, together with the ribs and wall, a honeycomb structure 6. To prevent the configuration of the webs and ribs being seen through the panel when the latter is formed integrally therewith by injection moulding, ornamenting of identical configuration is secured to the opposite surface of the panel. Alternatively a trim strip is secured to the edges of the panel. The ribs may extend normally to the webs and wall.
