Abstract

1, 041, 690. Gas/liquid contact trays. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. Aug. 16, 1965 [Aug. 18, 1964], No. 34983/65. Heading B1R. A tray for a gas/liquid contact column comprises sections joined together by means of tongues which engage under or over the edge of a contiguous section. The tongues may be formed on one or both edges of the sections and the tonges may engage in slits formed in a centiguous section. As shown in Fig. 5 the section 1 has a reinforcing rib 5 and a tongue 2<SP>1</SP> of section 2 engages in a slit 7 in the reinforcing rib.
