Abstract

1,040,301. Belt fastenings. ISAAC JACKSON & SONS (FASTENERS) Ltd. Jan. 12, 1965 [Dec. 9, 1963], No. 48475/63. Heading F2Q. In a conveyer belt fastener comprising bridge plates 1, 2 connected by bolts 5 and nuts 6, the bolt heads are located in recesses 7 in the plate 2 and held captive therein by washers 9 engaging circumferential grooves in the bolts 5. Each plate is provided with claws 3 which penetrate and grip the belt. A worn fastener may be easily removed by removing the nuts 6 and hammering on the protruding stems of bolts 5.
