Calculateur (10) de véhicule automobile comportant un port d'entrée (11) connecté à un capteur (20) de vilebrequin et un module de traitement (12) de signaux reçus dudit capteur de vilebrequin, caractérisé en ce que ledit calculateur comporte : • un premier module d'adaptation (14), adapté à conformer des signaux, fournis par un capteur de vilebrequin d'un premier type (A), à un format prédéfini d'entrée du module de traitement, • un second module d'adaptation (15), adapté à conformer les signaux, fournis par un capteur de vilebrequin d'un second type (B), audit format d'entrée du module de traitement, • des moyens de routage (13) adaptés à connecter le port d'entrée au premier ou au second module d'adaptation, • des moyens de détection du type du capteur de vilebrequin connecté au port d'entrée, • des moyens de commande des moyens de routage en fonction du type de capteur de vilebrequin détecté.
