Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de synchronisation d'un moteur à combustion interne comprenant au moins un arbre à cames sur lequel est montée une cible, un capteur de position de l'arbre à cames et une unité de traitement, le procédé comprenant la mise en œuvre des étapes suivantes : • à chaque front de dent détecté par le détecteur : - mise en œuvre d'un procédé d'identification du front détecté en considérant une rotation avant de la cible, - mise en œuvre d'un procédé d'identification du front détecté en considérant une rotation inverse de la cible, - si le front détecté est déterminé comme correspondant à un front de la cible en rotation avant, et comme correspondant à un front de la cible en rotation inverse, détermination d'un sens de rotation de la cible le plus probable, et • émission d'un signal de synchronisation ou de défaut de synchronisation en fonction du sens de rotation de la cible le plus probable déterminé.
