L'invention concerne un procédé d'activation automatique d'une fonction d'un véhicule automobile (1), comprenant: - une étape d'acquisition d'une première image de l'environnement du véhicule automobile par un premier capteur d'images (5), - une étape d'acquisition d'une deuxième image de l'environnement du véhicule automobile par un deuxième capteur d'images (9), - une étape de détection d'un premier paramètre relatif à la luminosité d'une partie au moins de la première image capturée, et d'un deuxième paramètre relatif à la luminosité d'une partie au moins de la deuxième image capturée, et - une étape d'élaboration d'une consigne de contrôle de ladite fonction, compte tenu dudit premier paramètre et dudit second paramètre.The invention relates to a method for automatically activating a function of a motor vehicle (1), comprising: - a step of acquiring a first image of the environment of the motor vehicle by a first image sensor (5), - a step of acquiring a second image of the environment of the motor vehicle by a second image sensor (9), - a step of detecting a first parameter relating to the brightness of a at least part of the first captured image, and of a second parameter relating to the brightness of at least part of the second captured image, and - a step of developing a control instruction for said function, taking into account of said first parameter and of said second parameter.
