Un engin mobile (2) comprend des moyens de locomotion (6) et une pluralité de récipients (8) destinés chacun à recevoir au moins un aliment (A) et pourvus chacun d'un organe de distribution (14 ; 50 ; 52) déplaçable entre une position fermée, dans laquelle l'aliment (A) reçu dans le récipient (8) y est retenu, et une position ouverte, dans laquelle l'aliment (A) reçu dans le récipient (8) est distribué. L'engin mobile (2) comprend une unité de commande (20) conçue pour commander sélectivement le déplacement de l'un au moins des organes de distribution (8). Un système d'alimentation comprenant un tel engin mobile et un procédé de distribution d'aliment au moyen d'un tel engin mobile sont également décrits.
