Abstract

The connector (1) has a jaw (2) and a set of clamping mechanisms e.g. rivet plug (4), so as to bring the jaw closer to an electric cable (3) and a conductive element e.g. metal wall (5). The jaw includes a body (20) that is made of rigid insulating material. A set of active parts (22, 28) of a contact unit (21) is penetrated in the cable and the conductive element, and the connector is allowed to pass from an installation position of the cable to a service position by displacement of the jaw toward the cable and the conductive element with the clamping mechanisms. An independent claim is also included for an electrical cable and connector assembly.
