Abstract
The radial bed reactor comprises an external cylindrical grid (3) and a coaxial internal cylindrical grid (2) defining an annular space containing a catalyst bed. The external grid of diameter (D) is a Johnson type grid divided into equal modules. Each module has a parallelepiped shape of an arc with a height (H) of 1/15 to 1/3 times the height of the reactor, and a side corresponding to an angular sector of angle (alpha ) of 20-60[deg] and having a length of D/2x alpha . The side of the module is equipped with inwardly returning edges of the reactor, and is perpendicular to a plane of the module. The radial bed reactor comprises an external cylindrical grid (3) and a coaxial internal cylindrical grid (2) defining an annular space containing a catalyst bed. The external grid of diameter (D) is a Johnson type grid divided into equal modules. The side of the module is equipped with inwardly returning edges of the reactor, and is perpendicular to a plane of the module. The modules constituting the external grid are divided into several rows from top to bottom of 1-N and two successive rows denoted as I and 1+1, and are arranged in staggered rows. A connection between two adjacent modules is carried out by bolting, a key system and point welding. Horizontal and vertical edges of the module have a thickness of 1-5 cm. The horizontal edges of the module are downwardly inclined by an angle (delta ) of 0-45[deg] .
