Abstract
The method involves remotely detecting and reading electronic identification elements (6) at each of assembly stations of an assembly line via on board units that include radio frequency identification (RFID) type reading and detecting units (9), memory units (11), comparing units (15) and displaying units (16). The elements are individually allocated to components (5) of a motor vehicle. The deduction information (17) relative to the identification of the elements are displayed. The on board units are jointly transported with the vehicle during the assembly of the vehicle on the line. The deduction information is a deduction information in the presence of a standard component in an assembly station, is a deduction information in the presence of an inadequate component in the assembly station, or is a deduction information in the absence of a standard component in the assembly station. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling the conformity of components of a motor vehicle during the assembly of the motor vehicle on an assembly line.
