A method of operating television broadcasts, according to which, within at least one private internal network, grouping together a plurality of television receivers capable of receiving external emissions from transmitting channels external to said private network, interruptions provisionally the program transmitted on a channel to be received by said receivers (4) of said private internal network (5) by replacing it with a determined private substitution program, under the command of a substitution start order and an order end of substitution which are generated, for sequences of predetermined style, from an administrator station (15-25) ensuring monitoring of said emissions from external channels.
