Abstract

The device has wooden boards (A, B) including a cleat and a groove, respectively. The cleat and the groove have beveled shapes to form a corner insert. The beveled shapes of the cleat and the groove are coupled such that the wooden board (B) slides in the board (A). The cooperation of the beveled shapes permits to integrate the boards, when the boards are assembled against each other.

  The present invention relates to the shape to give the banks of boards or wooden boards, in order to assemble them, to make a floor or wall covering. The drawings in the appendix are intended to illustrate, on the one hand, the present invention in a panel-type application (FIG. 1), on the other hand the present invention in a cladding-type application (FIG. 3).

  Traditionally, the assembly is done by embedding or covering.

  The embedding method involves a male part of part A, called tongue, and a female part of part B, called groove. Each piece 10 having a tongue and a groove.

  The recess has the advantage of making the piece B integral with the piece A, the groove being embedded in the tongue. It is difficult to implement, because the installer must adjust the groove in the tongue, operation made difficult in the case of long lengths and when the parts are not straight.

  The method of recovery is simply to cover part of the piece A by a part of the piece B, the two pieces are generally notched mid-wood.

  The recovery has the advantage of being very easy to implement, but it has a major flaw. The piece A is not integral with the piece B and can therefore lift and lose contact with the piece B. The invention makes it possible to retain the advantage of the method by embedding, while having the advantage of the overlay method: solid parts and ease of implementation.

  The characteristic of the invention is that the male part of the piece A is beveled, as well as the female part of the piece B. The introduction of the piece B in the room A is extremely facilitated by the fact that the banks 'join together by their beveled form, forming a wedge, allowing their easy and progressive interlocking, by sliding of the piece B in the room A, with the beveled forms marrying one another, the cooperation of beveled shapes making the parts A and B integral with each other, in the direction of the thickness, when the parts are assembled, abutted against each other (Fig 2 and Fig 4).

  Once applied against each other, the piece B is integral with the piece A, the bevel forces the two pieces to remain on the same plane, as would a groove and a tongue.

  The beveled shape of the male and female sides of the boards or planks of wood, is particularly well suited to interior coatings, paneling and floors; or exterior coatings, cladding and clapboard; whatever the width, thickness, or shape given to the faces of the pieces.

  Device for obtaining a wall or floor covering, from a set of individual elements, consisting of wooden boards or planks, characterized in that each individual element has a male side and a female side, that these individual elements are joined together by the interlocking of their respective male and female banks, that these banks have a beveled shape, forming a wedge, allowing their easy and progressive interlocking, by sliding of the piece B in the piece A, their shape beveled (fig la, 1b and 3a, 3b)) marrying each other, the cooperation of beveled shapes making parts A and B integral with each other, forcing them to remain on the same plane, in the direction of the thickness, when the parts are assembled, in abutment against each other (fig 2 and fig 4).
