Abstract

Method for proposing a service supplied by a server within a communications network in which at least one communications protocol is implemented. According to the method a service description document is sent comprising information relative to imperative values associated with at least a functionality implemented by the said communications protocol during execution of the said service on the communications network. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (a) A method for testing access to a service provided bya server; (b) a method for verifying the compatibility of a communications protocol; (c) a device for proposing a service supplied by a server; a device for verifying the compatibility of a communications protocol; (d) and a method for verifying the compatibility of a communications protocol.
