Abstract

The invention concerns a protective helmet comprising front (1) and rear (2) shells articulated to be mobile between an opening position and a closing position. The invention is characterized in the articulation of the two shells (1, 2) is such that it comprises at least a hinge link (6) pivotably mounted between the two shells (1, 2). Advantageously, the rear shell (2) is controlled in its opening trajectory by a set of lateral levers, and articulated side surfaces. The invention is particularly applicable to helmets for motorcyclists.
