Abstract

The invention concerns a method for upgrading equipment (2, 2') and/or software (LP, LS) designed for processing health cards (3, 3') and payment for medical procedures (S, P). The method comprises a step which consists in organising the uploading (5, 5') of said software processing health cards (LS) or said software for payment (LP) by diffusion networks competent in microcomputers (RS) and electronic banking (RM) respectively. The method also comprises a step which consists in protecting the uploading of the software processing health cards (LS) or the software for payment (LP) using a first access key (6a, 6'a) handed over to the competent diffusion networks (RS, RM). Thus the software units (LS, LP) cannot be tampered with and/or cloned.
