Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for maintaining

  a helmet on a flat surface. It relates to the industrial and commercial field of the manufacture and distribution of articles generally relating to protective helmets used to protect the head against shocks, such as those used on construction sites for example, but is all particularly

  for motorcycle helmets of all types.

  There are essentially two types of helmets for motorcyclists, full face helmets with protection for the lower face, and less expensive "cap" type helmets, light and easy to put on or take off but not providing total protection of the head. replace both types.

  The device according to the present invention aims to remedy this state of affairs. It allows you to put a protective helmet on any flat surface without the risk of rolling. It is a space-saving and inexpensive accessory, permanently fixed to the helmet and which one does not have to worry about once put in place. It consists of a flat and thin rubber element having an aerodynamic shape, and comprising a self-adhesive lower face fixing itself on the helmet and an upper face comprising longitudinal ribs intended to channel the flow of air streams and arranged to form a support ensuring a stable position of the helmet when it is

  turned over and placed on a flat surface.

  The device, Figures 1 to 8, consists

  of an element 1, 2 comprising a mounting face 5 self-

  adhesive intended to be fixed on the top of the helmet 3,

  The fixing of the element 1, 2 on the helmet by the self-adhesive mounting surface 5 can be replaced by any other suitable means of assembly, permanent or removable, and in particular by velvet with 30 loops and hooks of the " VELCRO "(registered trademark) arranged on the mounting face and on the helmet and allowing the support element to be removed and replaced

as often as desired.

  The device described is primarily intended to be distributed as an accessory, but can also

  be mounted on helmets 3, 4 during their manufacture.

  The positioning of the various constituent elements gives the object of the invention a maximum

  useful effects which had not, to date, been obtained by similar devices.

Device for holding a helmet on a flat surface, intended for protective helmets of all types and in particular helmets for motorcyclists.   characterized in that it consists of an element (1, 2) comprising a mounting face (5) capable of being fixed permanently or removably on the top of the helmet (3, 4), at the point of passage of the line of the center of gravity, the face opposite to said mounting surface being determined so as to constitute a support ensuring a stable position of the helmet (3, 4) when the latter is turned over and placed on a flat surface. 2.
