Abstract

The invention concerns an electric lock with coded external electric power supply, consisting of a lock (8) whereof the drive motor (M) is powered by an external power source, for example contained in a control box connected in position (10). The box sends a coded power current which is recognised by the electronic module (12) which authorises the motor (M) to operate or not. In a particular embodiment, the power supply is in the lock but can only be activated by the box; the current then passes through the box which sends it back in coded form. The invention is applicable to an installation in non-powered locations (cellars, safe deposit boxes, and the like) or in powered locations requiring greater security (no electronic scanning or sweeping is possible).
