Abstract

The device is designed so that the driver can direct warm liquid onto the vehicle windscreen. The liquid is simultaneously heated and sprayed. The liquid heating system uses a heating resistance placed in the screen washing liquid circuit. This resistance consists of a spiral metallic tube (3) through which the cleaning liquid circulates. The spiral tube (3) is covered with an electrically insulating material (4) and has its ends connected to terminals of a battery. The electric circuit is closed by the driver of the vehicle. Closure of the electrical circuit causes rapid heating of the tube (3). The system is enclosed in an insulated housing (2) and its ends are connected to the cleaning liquid circuit.
