Abstract

The system has a practice ground equipped with wire antennae (5) which are laid just below the surface in parallel lines and connected to distance readers (6) located at known distances from the tee-off training stations (3). The distance readers (6) are connected to a central processor (4). The golf balls contain electronic labels and a remotely supplied transmitter and are distributed to the training stations (3) where they are read by readers (2) connected to the central processor (4). Consoles (7) at the training stations capture data such as the type of club used and display distances covered and progress made by players over time.
