Abstract

The present invention is constituted by the combination of a parallelepipedal case 1 with a lateral lid and having on the four sides 6, 7, 8, 9 recessed parts 10, 13 and relief parts 11, 12 allowing, on the one hand, a nesting of the cases and, on the other hand, a flow of air under the case when the latter is placed on the ground, the vertical base 5 being fixed and flat and bottle-separating cross-pieces which are partially or totally removable allowing the fitting-out of the cases for the storage of other products. It is intended for the transport and storage of bottles of all types and in particular of bottles of wine.

Description

MULTIPURPOSE BOTTLE CASE
The present invention relates to a multi-function bottle case.

It is intended for the transport and storage of bottles of all types, and in particular wine bottles.

The devices produced to date are either stackable racks with dividers, most often made of synthetic material, in which the bottles are placed vertically, or wooden or other material crates, with a lid on top, intended mainly for bottles of wine and in which the bottles are lying and stacked on several layers.

These packages all have the disadvantage of preventing access to those below when they are stacked. Indeed, if several boxes are piled on top of each other, it is impossible to catch any bottle in the lower boxes without significant manipulation.

In addition, in the case of cases containing coated bottles, which is the rule for quality wines, it is impossible to take a bottle located in the bottom without having to handle those that are above in the same case .

The device according to the present invention eliminates all these drawbacks. In fact, it makes it possible to reach and take any bottle without any manipulation whatever the position of the box in a stack, and even if the bottles have been transported and stored-lying down. In addition, the device object of the invention can be reused for other uses. Indeed, the assembly of several boxes makes it possible to produce a rigid storage unit for bottles or for other products.

It is constituted by the combination of a parallelepipedic box with lateral cover and having on the four sides of the hollow and raised parts allowing on the one hand an interlocking of the boxes between them, and on the other hand, a circulation of the air under the box when it is placed on the ground, the vertical bottom being fixed and flat and separator dividers for removable and fully or partially removable bottles allowing the arrangement of boxes for the storage of other products.

The device, FIGS. 1 to 4, consists of a box 1 with lateral opening 2 and with a fixed and flat vertical bottom, which can be made of wood or any other material of similar characteristics, in particular thermally insulating materials such as agglomerated or composite plastics with cellular core.

The cover 3, made of the same material, has a recessed inner face 4 which fits into the body 1 and thus provides a better seal against dust and better thermal insulation.

The external surfaces of the sides 6, 7, 8, 9 have recessed portions 10, 13 and in relief 11, 12 arranged in such a way that the opposite sides 6 and 8 or 7 and 9 are intermeshed when the boxes 1 are stacked, and juxtaposed laterally, so as to form a rigid storage unit. The surface of the reliefs 12 located on the lower side is substantially smaller than that of the recesses 13, so as to constitute supports allowing the circulation of air under the boxes placed on the ground.

Totally or partially removable cross-pieces 14, 15, intended for the separation of the bottles, and formed of plates perpendicular to each other and to the bottom 5 of the body 1, are assembled using a system of notches 16 (FIG. 4) allowing disassembly.

Thanks to the elimination of handling which it allows, and thanks to its possibilities of re-use, the device which has just been described lends itself particularly well to the transport and storage of bottles in general, and of quality wine bottles in particular. .

The positioning of the various constituent elements give this device a maximum of useful effects which had not been obtained to date by similar devices.

Claims (4)

10 Multifunctional bottle crate, intended for the transport and storage of bottles of all types, and in particular wine bottles, having for object the elimination of the manipulations necessary to take a bottle contained in a crate located under other crates , and the possibility of reusing said boxes to make a storage unit, characterized by the combination of a parallelepipedic box (1) with opening (2) and cover (3) lateral and having on all four sides (6, 7, 8 , 9) recessed (10, 13) and raised (11, 12) parts allowing an assembly of several boxes (1), the opposite sides (6, 8 or 7, 9) fit together when the boxes are stacked, and juxtaposed laterally, so as to form a rigid storage unit, the vertical bottom (5) being fixed and planar and spacers (14, 15) separators of removable bottles, and totally or partially removable, allowing t the arrangement of boxes (1) for the storage of other products. 20 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the box (1) and the cover (3) are made of a thermally insulating material such as agglomerated or composite plastic with cellular core. 30 Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the surface of the reliefs (12) located on the lower side is substantially smaller than that of the recesses (13), so as to constitute supports allowing circulation air under the body (1) placed on the ground.  4 Device according to any one of. previous claims1 characterized by the fact that the cover (3) has a recessed inner face (4) which fits into the body (1) to ensure a better seal against dust and better thermal insulation. 50 Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the braces intended for the separation of the bottles are formed by plates (14, 15) perpendicular to each other as well as to the bottom (5) of the box (1 ) are assembled using a system of notches (16) in Figure 4, allowing them to be dismantled.
