Abstract

The device has a closed loop of flexible wire mounted in a support which acts as a handle. The wire may be twisted outside the handle, or in the handle to avoid risk of breaking or tightening. The device can have a series of predetermined measurement loops and a support able to take all diameters required for that application. The perimeters obtained may be read directly from a calibrated gauge. The device may be used in dentistry for measuring the diameter of dental preparations.
