Abstract

The invention relates to a device for comparing at least partially a graphical representation on a medium with at least one other apparently similar graphical representation and for example a postage stamp, a "rubber" stamp or a bank note. The device comprises means 9 for holding the medium 10 flat and is characterised in that it furthermore comprises a transparent disc 2 which is graduated on the surface with at least one set of equidistant parallel lines and in that the disc 2 can move at least in rotation on the surface of the medium in the plane which it defines.
