Claims

CLAIMS 1. Pliers for applying self-adhesive labels on any object, of the type comprising, on a support structure, a reel reel capable of receiving a strip having a plurality of self-adhesive labels regularly spaced on a support, rollers respectively driving and driven between which the strip passes, and a depositing roller located upstream of a means for controlling the advance of the strip, as well as, downstream of the driven roller, a reel suitable for winding the strip without labels, characterized in that the means for controlling the advance of the strip is formed by at least one arm, called anterior (61, 62) pivotally mounted on the shaft (38) receiving the driven roller ( 40), said front arm (61, 62) being coupled with a ratchet lever (70,

71) able to cooperate with a ratchet wheel (43) wedged on the shaft (37) carrying the driving roller 39, cooperating with a driven roller (40), elastic means (70) being further provided for bringing back the arm front (61, 62) in a waiting condition, for which its free end is released relative to the supporting structure, while the ratchet lever is in the armed position on the ratchet wheel.

2. Pliers according to claim 1, characterized in that the ratchet lever (70) at the end of travel of the front arms (61, 62) is inoperative with the ratchet wheel (43).

3. Pliers according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the front arms (61, 62) have locally a notch (80) able to cooperate with a fixed stud (84) to determine the amplitude of oscillation of said arms

4. Gripper according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ratchet wheel (43), the driving roller (39) and driven (40) constitute a drive assembly (21) which cooperates with a presser assembly lower (22), a guide (23), and an upper presser assembly (24).

5. Gripper according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lower presser assembly (22) comprises a plate (85) capable of being fixed to the structure of the gripper, and two bearings (87) adapted to allow placing and removing by interlocking a roller (88).

6. Clamp according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the guide (23) has a profiled front part (90), extended by a fixing crosspiece (91) itself extended by a panel (92) of which the underside forms a support for the strip (B) devoid of labels.

7. Pliers according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lower presser assembly (24) comprises a transverse cam (101), capable of acting in a central zone of a plate (99) pivotally mounted on a support (26), said plate carrying, at its free end a pressure roller (100).

8. Pliers according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the shaft (37) carrying the driven roller (40) is provided at one of its ends with a toothed crown (52) meshing with an identical toothed crown (51) wedged on the driving shaft, the latter toothed ring itself comprising a grooved wheel (44) for a belt (50) for driving the reel assembly.

9. Pliers according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the free end parts of the front arms (61,62) have a withdrawal zone (75).
