Abstract

Of an approximate trapezoidal box section with symmetry about a vertical axis (y-y), the rail (1) may be incorporated in sliding barriers (12) or similar of a framed metal construction, and may be of galvanised metal sheet. The lesser side of the trapezium constitutes the base wall (11), a vertical section of side wall (2) interposing each inclined side wall section (8) and the top wall which has a bipitched (4) convex form. The inclined side walls (8) may subtend 30 deg. with the vertical axis, the width (b) of the base wall may be less than 45 mm, and the converging top walls (4) may have gradients of 5%.
