Abstract

Fresh plants or leaves are laminated between layers of resin impregnated glass matting and heated before and/or after lay-up to develop or dissipate some of the natural colours before being fully enclosed. Suitable for mfr. of decorative shades, screens, table tops, etc. Esp. claimed for enclosing examples of Halidrys Siliquosa, which darkens, Palmaria Palmata, which bleaches, and Ulva Lactuca, which yellows and tends to become invisible in the resin. The glass cloth used is fine, i.e., pref. 200-350 grammage.
