Abstract

The automatically controlled fan for a barbecue or other fire includes a helical blade driven by a small electric motor. This is mounted with its axis inclined slightly below horizontal at the top of a moulded tapering body. The body is mounted on a rigid base plate. In front of the body of the fan there is a photoresistance sensitive to radiation falling on it. This photoresistance forms a potential divider along with a 220k variable resistance. The common point of the two resistances is connected to the base of a first transistor. This is connected in turn to a second transistor which controls the switching of current through the motor fan. The device is placed in front of a fire and provides additional draught when the radiated light falls below a certain level.

Le SOUFFLET AUTOMATIQUE ELECTRONIQUE " se compose de deux parties un mécanisme assurant le fonctionnement automatique et une enveloppe extérieure.

L'alimentation : Elle est assurée à partir du secteur par un transformateur monophasé 220 b 6,3 V.

Un pont de diodes raccordé au secondaire du transformateur redresse le courant de sortie. L'interrupteur Marche / Arrêt ntagit que sur le circuit 6,3 V redressé. REALISATION
Nous avons réalisé le " SOUFFLET AUTOMATIQUE ELECTRONIQUE" en chlorure de polyvinyle de 2,5mm d'épaisseur.
PRODUCTION
We produced the "AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC BELLOWS" in 2.5mm thick polyvinyl chloride.

Plaçé à environ 30cm d'un feu très vif pendant plusieurs heures, l'appareil nta pas présenté de trace de début de fusion. Son enveloppe ne s' est pas déformée, l'hélice non plus, meme pendant les arrêts normaux de rotation. La photo-résistance, bien que très exposée à la chaleur, n'a pas changé de caractéristiques. Placed at about 30cm from a very high fire for several hours, the device did not show any trace of the start of fusion.
