Abstract

The insulation is stripped off electrical conductors (23) by means of a device which comprises a drive (4, 7, 8-10) which acts on a spring-loaded feed and return cylinder (11), a pair (19) of clamping jaws having closing springs (22), and a pair (21) of blades which are held in blade holders (14). The feed and return cylinder (11) which is guided on a guide (13) acts via in each case one shaft (16) on in each case one blade holder (14) which is constructed with an angled element (15). Stops (17) are provided opposite the angled elements (15) in order to limit the opening of the blade holders (14, 15). The electrical conductor (23) is held by the clamping jaws (19) while the blades (21) simultaneously cut into the insulation of the conductor (23). The blades (21) are subsequently pushed back by the feed and return cylinder (11), as a result of which the insulation is pulled off the conductor (23). At this point, the conductor (23), which is held in the clamping jaws (19) is transferred by a guide element (3) to a pressing device and is placed onto a plug lead [sic] onto the clamping region of a terminal which is provided, and the side elements of the terminal are subsequently crimped.
