Abstract

The mounting and fixing arrangements for an electronic unit in cylindrical form, such as a meter allows it to be fitted into a control panel without the use of tools. The surface of the cylinder to be fitted has at its rear end four square cross-section ribs. The panel piece has matching grooves. A locking ring in some thermoplastic material has short arms extending to the rear terminating in a claw. The arrangement requires the unit to be inserted and rotated through a small angle to hold it in position.
