Abstract

A tube mill with a horizontal rotating drum (2) containing spherical milling bodies (12) has a ring shaped discharge section. Drying gases are discharged through holes (3) in its wall through an outlet (15) and the top, and material discharge through outlets (4) at the bottom. A vertical baffle ring is mounted near the discharge holes. This ring is mounted on a sealing ring (9) at the outlet end of the drum, and can be adjusted in height to regulate the height of the discharge edge. A perforated plate (8) is mounted on radial supports (7) at the discharge end of the drum, inside the sealing ring (9).
