Abstract

The endoprosthesis is anchored in or on a bone (9) by means of pins (7) which are displaceable in radially extending bores (6). These bores are connected with a central bore (2) into which a spontaneously curing plastic composition is forced under pressure. This plastic composition which is still viscous initially is intended to force the pins in their bore outwards into the surrounding osseous tissue. The desired depth of penetration of the pins into the osseous tissue can be established by appropriately choosing the hydraulic pressure on the plastic composition. After curing of the plastic composition the pins are immovably fixed in their bores. Conventional bone cement can be employed as the plastic composition.
