Abstract

The spray pump for perfume or other cosmetics is fitted to the bottle (1) by a snap-on cap (8) which fits over the screwed cap (4). A plunger (3) slides in the sleeve (21) and is connected to the hollow piston (5). A lever (16) is pivoted on an arm (9) which is formed integrally with the snap-on cap (8). When the lever is pressed against the side of the bottle (1), it depresses the piston causing a spray to be ejected from the nozzle (6). Releasing the lever draws a fresh supply into the space below the piston.
